Information For Businesses & Employers That Are Considering Working In Partnership With Us
Background
Right Track Ltd is a Registered Charity, established in 1983 to enhance the prospects of young people who normally face difficulty in securing and sustaining employment.
Our trainees range from young people excluded from mainstream education through to school leavers on training programmes. We are currently seeking work experience placements to enable these individuals to gain experience in the work environment and, where appropriate, to progress towards Vocational Qualifications.
What's Involved?
- If you provide a work experience placement, Right Track will provide quality training through day release and ongoing assessment to ensure the trainee meets required standards.
- Right Track pays the training allowance and travelling expenses directly to trainees. There is therefore no cost to your company or administration of allowances. We monitor the trainee’s progress and telephone regularly to confirm attendance.
- Right Track provides support for the work provider through the Placement Officer. We are always on call to listen to and solve any problems that may occur during the placement. We visit on a regular basis and work closely with the company to ensure that the training requirements are being met on both sides.
- The Placement Officer will check you have the following: - A safe working environment, current insurance covering trainees, a Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety induction for Employees.
(These are already required by law for your own employees. We can help with information and/or advice if required.)
- Your company will benefit from the knowledge that the training and development you are providing will give a young person an opportunity which they would not otherwise obtain.
How Your Business Benefits
- You could be training and developing a future employee, saving you time and costs in recruitment.
- Opportunity to give something back to the community and contribute positively to the lives of young people in Scotland.
- A wide variety of companies support Right Track for different reasons (and in different ways).
